Every Papi merchant receives a fast, dedicated subdomain formatted as yourstore.papi.ng.

1. From the homepage or /start, type your desired store name into the claim box.
2. Papi instantly verifies whether the address is available in real time.
3. If available, click Claim my store to proceed to merchant onboarding.
4. Your chosen store name will automatically prefill throughout registration, so you never have to re-type it.

Papi uses modern passwordless authentication to protect your account against password breaches and credential stuffing.

• Enter your registered email address on the login screen.
• You will receive a secure 6-digit verification code.
• Enter the code to immediately access your merchant dashboard.
• In development mode, test OTP codes are displayed directly on screen for quick testing without waiting for email delivery.

When you first create a store, it starts in Opening Soon mode until you complete four basic foundations:

1. Upload a Store Logo & Identity: Set your store banner and visual branding.
2. Add at least one product or service: Put your first item in the shop.
3. Connect your Payout Account: Link your Nigerian bank account so you can receive buyer funds.
4. Configure Delivery or Pickup: Define where you ship and what fees apply.

Once completed, click Launch Store in your dashboard header to open your storefront to the public!

Papi provides multiple curated, responsive themes tailored to different industries:

• Starter: Minimalist and lightning-fast. Ideal for emerging brands and general commerce.
• Boutique: Editorial and fashion-forward. Large hero banners and magazine-style product grids.
• Retail: A product-focused shop that helps buyers filter electronics, groceries, beauty items, and more.
• Bakery / Food: Warm tones and prominent ordering CTAs with delivery time notes.
• Artisan: Earthy textures celebrating handcrafted items, pottery, and bespoke crafts.

You can switch themes at any time from Storefront → Themes. Switching themes is instantaneous and never alters your products, prices, or orders.

Yes. All Papi themes include native light and dark mode styling. When a buyer visits your store, Papi automatically respects their device's preferred color scheme (iOS/Android/Windows dark mode), while also allowing them to toggle manually via the header icon.

You can add options when creating or editing a product under Products:

1. Check the This product has variants checkbox in the product editor.
2. Add variant options such as Size (e.g. Small, Medium, Large) or Color (e.g. Navy, Onyx).
3. Set an optional price override for each variant if certain sizes or editions cost more.
4. Track inventory separately per variant.

Yes! Papi provides first-class support for digital products:

• Digital Files: Upload PDFs, audio albums, digital artwork, or software zip archives. Buyers receive an authenticated, time-expiring download link upon verified payment.
• Serialized License Codes: Input pools of single-use license keys or redemption codes. Papi automatically dispenses one unique code per purchase upon checkout confirmation.

While you add a product, Papi saves your unfinished work in this browser every five seconds. If the browser closes or your network drops, return to Products and restore the draft.

Storefront checkouts are powered by our secure Paystack integration, allowing buyers across Nigeria and Africa to pay with:

• Debit & Credit Cards: Mastercard, Visa, and Verve.
• Bank Transfer: Dynamic virtual bank accounts with instant payment confirmation.
• USSD: Direct mobile banking shortcodes for all major Nigerian banks (GTBank, Zenith, Access, etc.).
• Apple Pay: Supported on compatible iOS Safari devices.

Funds from completed customer purchases settle directly into your Papi merchant wallet on a standard T+1 business day schedule.

1. Link your Nigerian bank account in Wallet → Payout Settings using your 10-digit NUBAN number.
2. Papi instantly validates your account name against the Central Bank of Nigeria registry.
3. Set a secure 4-digit Withdrawal PIN.
4. Withdraw funds to your verified bank account at any time with instant settlement.

You can connect any custom domain purchased from GoDaddy, Namecheap, WhoGoHost, Google Domains, etc.:

1. Navigate to Domain in your merchant dashboard.
2. Enter your custom domain name (e.g. mybrand.com) and submit.
3. Log into your DNS management provider and add the following records:

Papi automatically canonicalizes all requests. If a buyer types www.yourstore.papi.ng or www.yourbrand.com, they are seamlessly redirected via HTTP 301 to the primary address. If an unknown subdomain is entered, visitors are greeted with a clear, animated 404 page asking them to check the URL or return home.

Under Pickup & Delivery, you can define specific shipping areas with custom pricing:

• Local City Zones: Create zones like "Lagos Mainland" (₦2,500) and "Lagos Island / Lekki" (₦3,500).
• Interstate Delivery: Define nationwide delivery fees for orders shipping outside your primary state.
• Free Shipping Threshold: Encourage larger orders by setting a cart minimum (e.g. Free shipping on orders over ₦25,000).
• Local Pickup: Enable free in-person collection at your store address or pickup point.

In Coupons, create targeted promotional discount codes:

• Percentage Off: Give a 10%, 20%, or 50% discount at checkout.
• Fixed Amount Off: Deduct a flat sum (e.g. ₦2,000 OFF) from the order subtotal.
• Category Scope: Restrict coupons to specific categories (e.g. valid only on "Shoes" or "Skincare").
• Usage Limits: Cap the total number of redemptions or set minimum cart spend requirements.

Every successful order generates an authenticated digital receipt:

• An email confirmation is sent immediately to the buyer with order itemization.
• A secure link (/orders/:id/receipt) displays an interactive receipt.
• Buyers and merchants can click Download PDF (/orders/:id/receipt.pdf) for accounting and tax records.

Global DNS changes require time to propagate across internet service providers (usually 10 to 30 minutes, but can take up to 24 hours depending on your registrar). Once the DNS records reach our edge servers, SSL certificates are issued automatically. If it has been more than 24 hours, double-check your CNAME and A record settings.

No funds or orders are lost. Paystack communicates directly with Papi's webhook service in the background. As soon as the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) confirms the transfer, Papi automatically marks the order as paid, deducts product inventory, and sends the customer their receipt email.

To protect your wallet against unauthorized withdrawals, PIN resets require email OTP authorization. Go to Wallet → Settings, click Reset PIN, and follow the one-time verification code sent to your registered merchant email address.
